Cool, Clear & Reset – April’s 2-Week Sunday Slow & Easy Series
As autumn settles in across the Sunshine Coast, it’s the perfect time to slow down, soften the body and create space for a reset.
This April reset builds beautifully on last month’s seasonal flow – if you’d like to revisit the foundations, read our previous blog, ‘Autumn Yin Yoga in Pelican Waters: A Seasonal Practice for Letting Go’.
At Sunday Slow & Easy, our April yin yoga series in Pelican Waters is designed to help you do exactly that – cool the system, support gentle detoxification and restore a sense of ease.
This month’s two consecutive classes run across Sunday 12 April and Sunday 19 April, 4.30-5.30pm, creating a beautiful two-week progression that allows the body to unwind and reset gradually.
Usually held on the 2nd and last Sunday of each month, April’s series has been intentionally scheduled over two consecutive Sundays to deepen the theme and allow students to build on the experience week to week.
Why Autumn Is Ideal for a Reset
Autumn naturally invites us inward. After the heat, busyness and outward energy of summer, many people notice they’re carrying residual tension, mental clutter or simply that “always on” feeling.
In Ayurveda, this can be linked to Pitta imbalance – excess heat, irritability, inflammation, over-efforting or mental overstimulation.
Autumn is considered an ideal season for a gentle cleanse or reset, making it the perfect time for yin yoga in Caloundra and Pelican Waters.
Rather than intense movement, Yin Yoga uses long, supported holds to encourage the body to soften, circulation to improve and the nervous system to settle.
This supports the body’s own natural clearing pathways.
Working with Liver + Gallbladder Meridians
This month’s classes also weave in Traditional Chinese Medicine through the Liver and Gallbladder meridians.
These energy lines travel through the inner legs, hips, side body and outer thighs – all areas that feature strongly in our April sequence.
In Yin Yoga, long-held shapes such as banana pose, shoelace, reclined hero and supported bridge help stimulate these pathways, supporting flow, release and gentle detoxification.
The result is a practice that feels deeply nourishing while also helping clear stored tension through the hips, side body and abdomen.

The first class focuses on calming excess heat, easing tension and creating space.
